Jennifer Mahn is the Associate Director of Clinical Programs at the National Coalition of STD Directors in Washington, DC and has worked in public health for over 14 years. Previously, Jennifer was instrumental in reviving the Detroit Public Health STD and TB Clinics in their post-municipal bankruptcy iteration including implementing the first same day, walk-in Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) program in Michigan. A proud 2019 Campaign for Black Male Achievement Building Beloved Communities fellow, Jennifer is also a Certified Trauma Professional who has designed successful interventions for violently injured youth and is interested in mitigating the impact of trauma for individuals in every setting, particularly for survivors of violence. Jennifer earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and an MPA in Health and Human Services/Urban and Metropolitan Policy and Management in 2015 from Wayne State University in Detroit. She is currently working on a PhD in Public Administration and Urban Studies at Wayne State University where she is exploring interventions to mitigate the cycle of chronic violence exposure, trauma and poverty in urban areas which she expects to complete in 2022.
