Avi is the Director of Academic Internship Programs at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Avi has a decade of experience in the non-profit and education sectors, in which he has designed and implemented various experiential programs for college students looking to launch their careers. Avi is especially interested in transformational and inclusive programs that grant access to historically underrepresented students and Neurodiverse learners. Throughout the past decade, Avi was able to design and deliver career readiness/access programs for thousands of domestic and international students in an effort to create a more equitable and representative workforce. In addition, Avi worked for nonprofits that range in purpose and mission, from initiatives to expose the voices of peace builders embedded in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to a year of AmeriCorps service in which he worked as a math specialist for an elementary school in Northern California. Avi possesses a Masters in International Education and Development from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelors in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a proud community college alum, a veteran and immigrant, father and husband.
