Greta Ríos is the founder and President of Ollin, a citizen empowerment Mexican nonprofit. Greta has more than 10 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and 8 being the head of an organization. She holds a BA in International Relations from Tec de Monterrey and an Advanced Master’s Degree on International Dispute Settlement from the Graduate Institute Geneva. She has also worked for the Mexican government and as an independent consultant on Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law and similar topics. Under Greta’s leadership, Ollin has consolidated as one of the leading organizations dealing with civic engagement, transparency, non-corruption, the rule of law, and direct democracy mechanisms. In 2019, Greta and her team conducted a strategic litigation maneuver that forced Mexico City Congress to enact a new Citizen Participation Law. In 2019, Greta and Ollin won the UBS Visionaries prize for social entrepreneurs. In 2017, she joined the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network. In 2016, she became an Ashoka Fellow and a Vital Voices VVLead Fellow. She was a speaker for the Mexico City Youth TEDx Talks in 2014.
