Trudy Stallings is the Senior Director of Development at NAF. She has 20 of experience in the nonprofit sector. NAF is a nationwide network of career-themed academies where high school students gain the skills and experiences to prepare them for careers with rising incomes, such as in engineering, information technology, health sciences, hospitality and tourism, and finance. Trudy raises critical funds necessary to sustain and grow NAF’s work. She has primary responsibility for relationships with corporate and private foundations. Before joining NAF in 2012, Trudy was Director of Development at Figure Skating in Harlem for five years. She has also worked at The Harlem School of the Arts, the Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center, and the International Rescue Committee. Trudy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, where she majored in English and International Studies. Her mission as a social purpose leader is to help young people identify and pursue their interests, develop their skills, or remove barriers so they can see their way to a goal and feel empowered to pursue it.
