Nakeisha Neal Jones is a demonstrated changemaker across sectors. Neal Jones has been Executive Director of Public Allies Washington, DC since she led the site’s relaunch in 2010. Additionally, she serves as Assistant Vice President of National Programs, leading national partnerships that support Ally career pathways. Nakeisha is also a proud Public Allies DC Alumna. Nakeisha has a deep history of service with nonprofits and the District Government, which included working in DC’s Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, managing human services strategies for a comprehensive community development initiative, and in the Office of DC’s Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, where she managed federal funds for juvenile justice and delinquency prevention. She was also on the founding team for the Georgetown Executive Nonprofit Certificate Program. She chairs the Education Committee of the DC Housing Authority Board. She also serves on NPR affiliate WAMU's Community Council and the Advisory Board of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN). Nakeisha earned her undergraduate degree in public policy from Duke University, and a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School. In 2016, Nakeisha received the John Thompson Legacy of a Dream Award from Georgetown University.
