Lotifa works at the Malala Fund as their Global Advocacy & Campaigns Advisor and has almost a decade of experience working with international development organizations. Lotifa is a graduate of BA Politics & East European Studies from the University College London and alumnus of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Young Muslim Leadership Programme. She completed the American Express Leadership Academy with Common Purpose in London in 2019. She has been a Global Advocacy Manager for leading development agencies with a special focus on advocacy and campaigning internationally. Lotifa was the Co-Chair of the British Overseas NGOs in International Development Faith Working group which brought together faith based agencies to tackle advocacy issues such as climate change and take faith inspired action in international development. She led on several global campaigns and hosted panel discussions on gender justice issues at the United Nations in New York advocating on issues of gender justice and the global refugee crisis. Lotifa has written for Huffington Post and been featured in the British Bangladeshi Power & inspiration 100 List for her contributions to the sector.
