Kim has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years, currently serving as the Director of Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Region with Global Impact. She manages a portfolio of clients promoting fundraising efforts for public and private sector organizations and provides strategic guidance on employee giving and engagement programs. Over this past year, she led the design of marketing materials for international observance days including World Water Day and #GivingTuesday to engage the social purpose sector in giving and volunteering. Previously, Kim worked at the American Red Cross developing volunteer partnerships and volunteer programs, coordinating disaster training and disaster response efforts and leading strategic national initiatives for the organization. A highlight of her Red Cross career includes leading a 7-year fire prevention program mobilizing 43,000 volunteers to conduct outreach to 800,000 households. Kim recently joined the Welders board, a playwright’s collective supporting alternative platforms for play development and production and is passionate about strengthening the nonprofit sector. Through her leadership with the DC AmEx Leadership Academy Alumni, she has led and executed training and alumni leadership events for more than 150 attendees. In addition, she volunteers for the local arts community and works at the Smithsonian and Heurich House Museum.
