Emily Ferstle Angus is a cross-sector leader with 10+ years of experience in volunteer and program management and a heart for service. Emily is an action-oriented force of nature propelled toward the social and economic revival of communities through service. Whether those she works with are students, employees, community members, or veterans, Emily connects people with passion for service to meaningful opportunities to create impact. Emily graduated from Aquinas College in 2010, with a degree in Public Administration and Community Leadership. She was awarded the Monsignor Bukowski Most Outstanding Graduate Award, the highest honor for Aquinas graduates. Since then Emily has worn many hats including that of program manager, social entrepreneur and consultant, while traveling the world engaging volunteers in community projects with organizations in all sectors. In addition to her work in Southeast Michigan, Emily has served and led volunteers in projects in Haiti, Dominican Republic and across the United States. Emily is an Army spouse, mother of two and Detroit resident. She is humbled to currently serve as the City Impact Manager for The Mission Continues, a national nonprofit that empowers veterans to serve in new ways and support community development through service.
