Ariane Umuringa is a Rwandan social entrepreneur and Co-founder at Starlight, a social enterprise that makes fun educational STEM products to inspire and engage young people across Africa. Her educational background includes Computer Science and Electronics Engineering from the University of Kigali and Sinhgad University. She is a Fab Academy graduate, a fast paced hands-on experience by Neil Gershenfeld at the Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA) at MIT. Ariane has 5 years of experience in community development sector specifically focusing on changemaking and has worked with Ashoka on their ChangemakerXchange program. She is a maker and passionate about holistic learning. She is the country ambassador for Youth opportunities, the world’s largest opportunity discovery platform for youth. One day she hopes to witness a world with equal free access to opportunities and quality education.
