Tamra Boodie is the director of Beacon 164 with CAMBA Inc. She is an innovative social purpose leader currently working in the field of education and youth development. She works tirelessly as a change maker to serve the needs of her community through impactful programming. Tamra started her career approximately 5 years ago with CAMBA as an academic and extracurricular activity facilitator, working with youth grades K-12. As a result of her hard work and dedication, Tamra has rapidly advanced, serving in many leadership roles within the organization. She now works as a Director of a pivotal community center program serving a high need immigrant community in Brooklyn, New York. A highlighted achievement of her career is the creation and implementation of an experiential learning and exposure based program across 13 community center locations within Brooklyn, New York.

Tamra holds a B.A. in Childhood Education from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership at Lehman College of the City University of New York. 

Tamra is an artist and enjoys painting during her free time. She is an avid reader and has an extensive collection of novels; she particularly enjoys reading stories that explore cultural and indigenous experiences.
