Vice President - Operations, Junior Achievement USA

Christy Kunz is the Vice President – Operations for Junior Achievement (JA) USA. A member of the Junior Achievement USA Operations Team, she works with JA Area offices providing them with service and support that includes strategic planning, program implementation, fundraising, staff management and more. Christy has participated on several JA USA strategic planning teams and serves as a team resource for board development and consolidations.

Christy, prior to joining Junior Achievement USA, served as President of JA of the Heartland, a twenty-five county area based in Moline, Illinois. She began her JA career as the Administrative Assistant to the President. Christy held a variety of positions working with JA programs, district board development and capstone implementation. In 2005, she was awarded the Karl Flemke Pioneer Achievement Award, which is presented annually to one emerging JA leader in the country. In 2008, she presented the Athena Leadership Award in the Quad Cities.

Christy also believes in giving back to her community with her time and financial support. She is an eleven-year member of the Central DeWitt Community School District Board of Education and served as board president for three years. She volunteers in Junior Achievement classrooms, serves on the Opera House board of directors, St. Joseph’s Church finance committee and had a leadership role in two non-profit capital campaigns.

Christy is a graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa with BA in Business Administration.
