Shelley Danner is Program Director of Challenge Detroit. She has a multi-disciplinary background that combines business consulting experience with a passion for impact and innovation that pivoted her career into the social entrepreneurship and nonprofit sectors. By co-launching, designing and running an innovative fellowship program, and through fostering an ecosystem of cross-sector partnerships, she has co-designed and led over 50 community impact projects and supported the growth of over 200 leaders over the last seven years. Shelley is also an adjunct faculty in the Integrated Design MFA at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and sits on the advisory board for the University of Detroit Mercy Masters of Community Development Program. Shelley was recently recognized on the 2018 Crain's Detroit Business Notable Women in Nonprofits list and is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow as well as an alumna of the AMEX Leadership Academy 2.0 at the Aspen Institute. She holds a leadership coaching graduate certificate through the Institute of Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University. Shelley is passionate about social impact, leadership and mentorship, design thinking and strategy, sustainable cities, the arts and travel.
