Winner of the UK’s Charity and Social Enterprise Leader award in November 2019, Victoria Burnip, is passionate about improving the lives of others and making a difference in local communities. Victoria, who is an ambitious and values-driven social leader and entrepreneur has over ten years’ experience providing strategic and operational support to charities. After working as a social leader in extremely challenging environments, Victoria decided to set up Unforgettable Experiences, which aims to support older people with dementia and their careers to access arts, cultural and heritage activities in the North East of England and Third Sector Specialists, which aims to provide leadership and strategic support to not-for-profit organizations to support them to develop services, deliver efficiencies and drive future sustainability in the North East’s voluntary and community sector. As Interim CEO of The Key, Victoria helped to inspire belief in over 4000 young people who have developed 929 of their very own unique project ideas to build their confidence and skills. Prior to The Key, Victoria secured over £2m income to develop new and delivery existing services to support over 10,000 older people living in South Tyneside to make the most out of later life. In April 2011, Victoria established the UK’s first voluntary-led marketing and communications agency providing low cost support to assist not-for-profit organizations providing marketing and communications expertise to over 45 charities and social enterprises. Victoria is a qualified Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), has a post graduate diploma in marketing, an NVQ Level 6 in leadership and management and a degree in media production. In her spare time, Victoria acts as a Director/Trustee on other nonprofit boards, enjoys the arts, swimming and spending quality time with her family.
