Megan Machnik is currently the Associate Director of Development at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC. She joined the development team at Ford’s Theatre three years ago and oversees institutional and individual giving. Megan enjoys working with the programmatic teams at Ford’s to define and share the impact that they have in their community. Prior to her role at Ford’s Theatre, Megan worked as the Development Manager at the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, a nonprofit that champions economic security and independence for low-income women. She began her nonprofit career in the Philadelphia area as the executive director of a chorus that performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Ballet and the Mann Center for Performing Arts. A lifelong arts enthusiast, Megan’s background is firmly rooted in the performing arts. She studied and taught music for over 17 years in both Florida and Illinois. She received her Bachelors of Music from the University of Florida in 2006 and her Masters of Music from the Roosevelt University in 2008.
