Mbao Ngula is an educationist and social entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She is founding Executive Director of ProjectEDUCATE: A nonprofit, non-governmental organization that uses education to build developmental capacity.  Through the Future Promise initiative and support from the High Achieving Low Income (HALI) Network Mbao helps brilliant but under privileged students navigate the college admissions process by providing current and accurate information on higher education opportunities available on the continent, in the United States and around the world.  She is founder and CEO of Zambezi Botanic Oils: An indigenous company that uses local ingredients for culinary and cosmetic purposes. Mbao is passionate about engaging social enterprise to improve livelihoods while protecting the natural environment. Mbao also works to help local communities identify and make effective use of local resources to improve quality of life issues. Her interests revolve around social justice, nonprofit management, stakeholder engagement, technology, social entrepreneurship and microfinance, environment and climate change. A noted speaker and presenter, Mbao is a Climate Reality Leader, A TED-Innovative Educator, a Common Purpose Alumni as well as an American Express Leadership Academy Alumni.
