MOOC - Take an online class

Whether you use +Acumen, Futurelearn, Coursera, EDX, Udacity or something else, they are free and you can learn about any possible topic. I don't always follow through with completing the full course, but I think that's ok. You can still benefit from attending a week or more session and get exposure to new ideas or new ways of thinking.

About Kimberly Gube

Kim Gube serves as Director, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Region at Global Impact in Alexandria, VA. Her work involves connecting and inspiring people and organizations who want to support international charities through employee giving and engagement programs. Before settling in the DC area, Kim coordinated training and disaster response through a network of volunteers with the Red Cross in Knoxville, TN. She continued her work with volunteers by developing partnerships and volunteer programs with the local Red Cross and the national headquarters in DC. In her free time, Kim coordinates networking opportunities for the DC AmEx alumni including a recent series of conversation events with local nonprofit leaders. She also works at the Smithsonian and enjoys volunteering with local theaters, festivals and the nonprofit community.
