Chief of Staff, League of Women Voters
Cohort: CCL, New York, 2011
Kelly McFarland Stratman is Chief of Staff for the League of Women Voters, where she supports the organization's CEO, Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers in defining/balancing strategic and operational priorities. Most recently, Kelly has been spearheading an organizational change initiative, set to coincide with the organization's 100th anniversary. For much of Kelly's 15-year tenure at the League's national office, she has focused on membership and field support activities, engaging directly with the organization's 750 affiliates on topics including organizational development and training. Prior to joining the League's national office, Kelly served as the Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Ohio, where she managed the state office, coordinated lobbying efforts, and oversaw financial and fundraising operations. Kelly lives in northern Virginia with her husband and their two daughters. When she is not volunteering with her own local League, she can be found helping with daughters' Girl Scout troop, participating in church activities, or dreaming of her family's next vacations.
