Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson started The Scholarship Academy at Howard University because she recognized that de-mystifying the financial aid process to create pathways to degree attainment could ultimately eliminate cycles of poverty in our nation's poorest communities. Jessica has served on various local/national scholarship committees and received numerous awards including: Points of Light Civic Accelerator, an Inaugural Echoing Green Black Male Achievement Fellow, an Ashoka Changemaker awardee, Ebony Magazine’s Educate Young Minds Award, Root Magazine’s Top 100 Emerging Leaders. She has been featured on Ebony.com, Black Enterprise, the Black Issues in Higher Education Magazine, and the NAACP Crisis Magazine.
