Gabriella is Policy Director for The Children’s Partnership, where she designs, researches, and advocates for laws and policies that support the well-being of children in immigrant families. Gabriella has nearly a decade of experience using various advocacy strategies to achieve a more just and equitable society, with a focus on improving the lives of children. Previously, she served as the Director of Policy and Legislative Advocacy at the Alliance for a Better Community, where she led the development and implementation of a public policy and advocacy agenda focused on improving the lives of Latinx communities. Prior to that, Gabriella was Policy Director for Board District 5 of the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she used community-centered policy, advocacy, and strategy to improve outcomes of public school students across Los Angeles. Gabriella began her career at Public Counsel, where she designed and led an advocacy project that focused on improving the academic outcomes of students from immigrant families using direct legal representation, impact litigation, policy and legislative advocacy and community education. Gabriella is a proud daughter of immigrants. She received a B.A. in Political Science and Human Rights from Columbia University, and a law degree from Columbia Law School.
