Elena Pak is the head of North America of The Fred Hollows Foundation, an international development organization that fights to end avoidable blindness. Prior to that, Elena served as the chief development officer at Girl Scouts of the USA where she led the national $1B ToGetHerThere campaign. Before joining Girl Scouts, Elena oversaw resource development at United Way of New York City. Prior to that, Elena held several executive positions at the Atlantic Council, a think tank in foreign affairs. At the Council, Elena served as the director for the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum and as the U.S. director of the British-North American Committee, a forum of business, labor, and academic leaders from the UK, US, and Canada. Earlier in her career, Elena worked as a business development manager at Hyatt Regency Almaty, Kazakhstan. Educated in the US and Kazakhstan, Elena holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Turan University in Kazakhstan and a master’s degree in communication from Western Kentucky University. She completed the American Express Leadership Academy in 2015 and the American Express Aspen Institute Leadership Program (2.0) in 2016. She is a Young Leader of the French-American Foundation.
