Eleazar Gutierrez is the Associate Manager of Leadership Programs at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. In this role, he directly manages the institutes high school leadership and civic engagement portfolio. His dedication to working with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and the Latino community at large has led to his goal of enhancing student’s leadership abilities, engaging them in conversations about public policy and government, and ultimately producing more informed and civically engaged Latino youth.

Eleazar previously served as the Education Associate, for the Consortium of Universities for Global Health and has held leadership roles at The Dream. US Scholarship Foundation, and First Focus. He currently sits on the board of the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHSA), as President of the NMSHSA Alumni Association, which strives to change the lives of young professionals from the farmworker community. He previously served as Membership Chair for DC Prospanica Chapter and continues his involvement with the Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation, and Migrant Region V in his hometown of Bakersfield, California.

Eleazar graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Bakersfield.
