About Alison Wheeler

Alison Oliveira Wheeler is the head of communications and brand strategy for SOS Children’s Villages-USA, an organization dedicated to providing vulnerable children around the world with a loving, stable family. She is a strategic marketing professional with over 20 years of experience with nonprofits and for-profits. Previous to SOS, Alison led Women for Women International’s marketing and communications department, an award winning international non-profit providing women survivors of war with the tools and resources to rebuild their lives. Her experience in the private sector included brand management and new product development at AOL, senior leadership positions at a publishing company in the Czech Republic and Poland and account management at Edelman Public Relations. She received her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and earned her MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
