Alison Wagner is the Director of Volunteer Services and Complementary Therapies of Hospice of Michigan (HOM) and Arbor Hospice. She is responsible for the activities of 22 employees and 600 volunteers supporting both HOM, and its affiliate Arbor Hospice in 58 counties across the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Alison is committed to recruiting and engaging volunteers to utilize their time and talents for their personal growth while benefiting the nonprofit hospice mission. Alison and her team deploy volunteers in variety of roles which include bedside support to bring comfort and peace to patients and families, community advocacy for hospice care, and administrative support for staff. Previously, Alison worked in the nonprofit sector for several organizations in healthcare, nursing education, economic development and the arts. Throughout her career, she has worked with volunteers, corporate volunteer programs, boards of directors and donors, and has extensive event management and program management experience. Alison earned a Master of Fine Arts from New York University in Performing Arts Administration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, as well as minors in flute and piano from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
