Adriana Lopez is the Founder and Principal of Book Nerd Ventures LLC (A. Lopez Consulting), a start-up providing data, project design/management, and technology consultation services that support the implementation and efficacy of public sector and nonprofit organizations. Prior to founding her business, Ms. Lopez served as a member of the senior leadership team for US2020, a national STEM-equity initiative focused on promoting access to STEM mentorship for students from communities currently underrepresented in STEM fields nationally. Over the past decade, her professional experiences have reflected her passion for community development, innovation, and technology and have included service with federal agencies such as the Corporation for National and Community Service, the US Department of Labor, and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as with nonprofits such as Leadership Alexandria. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Fellowship (2004-05), the Hispanics in Philanthropy Next Generation Leadership program (2017), and the Center for Nature and Leadership Generative Council (2016-18). Adriana holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and a M.A.S. in Environmental Policy and Management, with a specialization in GIS, from the University of Denver. Though a long-term resident of the Washington D.C. region, she is equally proud of her Midwestern roots.
