Cohort: Common Purpose, London, 2010

Patrick Wigg is Chief Operating Officer at The Prince’s Teaching Institute (PTI). The PTI is a small charity that runs a variety of events and programmes for state-school teachers and Headteachers in the UK. Patrick joined the PTI in 2008 as Business Development and Operations Manager. Following strong growth and expansion of the charity he was promoted to Senior Operations Manager, and in April 2013, appointed Chief Operating Officer with line management responsibility for all marketing, administration and finance staff. Prior to his not-for-profit career Patrick worked as a Business Manager for Barclays plc, having started his working life at BOC on their commercial graduate training scheme. This highly regarded, but now discontinued, programme gives employees experience in a wide variety of roles within a large, successful manufacturing business. Patrick was born and raised in South West London, and was educated at both state and private schools in Wimbledon. After a gap year spent working for a large engineering consultancy and travelling in Europe and Asia, Patrick read Chemistry at the University of Bristol. Outside of work Patrick is keen to visit new and interesting places, and is also a keen cricketer and cyclist.
