Kyle Hayden is a Campaign for Black Male Achievement Fellow and is serving at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) as an Academic Adviser for Adult Promise Students and the Black Student Union Adviser. Kyle has over a decade of experience in higher education. Prior to MATC, he worked with two pro-profit higher education organizations; Bryant & Stratton and University of Phoenix. At both institutions, he recruited students for traditional and non-traditional post secondary educational tracks. In 2018, he founded a mentoring program to help boost college retention & persistence by providing students with the needed tools and resources to become highly marketable graduates. His mentoring program is the only mentoring program on the campus and has been recognized as a growing pillar within the institution. Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Communications and is currently enrolled in his master’s degree program for counseling and therapy. His current mission is to encourage, engage, and equip others to believe in the possibilities of achieving civil equality through the avenues of love, empathy, and justice; thus building a beloved community.
