Tara Hall Brzozowski is a Human Capital Business Partner at Optum, a health services innovation company improving outcomes and experiences to help people live healthier lives and to help make the health system work better for everyone. Tara has more than 15 years of experience managing talent and human capital development strategy across the private and nonprofit sectors. In her current role, Tara provides consulting on people strategies, and partners with senior leaders of a global technology group to drive talent strategy, including: employee engagement; retention; performance management; compensation; organizational design; coaching, and training. Prior to Optum, Tara was the Director of Organizational Development at the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), a nationally recognized workforce reentry organization. Her work included overseeing CEO’s talent management strategy, designing the employee performance appraisal process, and leading staff training and development programs. Tara led the refresh of the organization’s three year strategic human capital plan with the goal of identifying and executing on the most impactful initiatives. Before CEO, Tara was a career coach and professor of Speech. Tara was selected for the Inaugural American Express Leadership Academy Summit and the 2014 American Express Leadership Academy. Tara has a Master’s degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Organizational Communication, and is passionate about building feedback and recognition cultures.
