Nicole Chao is an international development professional with over 15 years of experience. As a Sr. Director with ACDI/VOCA she provides project management support to several livelihoods, food security and community development projects in Colombia. During her time at ACDI/VOCA HQ, her work has also included overseeing projects in Bolivia, Iraq, Mozambique, Nicaragua and Uganda. She has worked with various donors including the Government of Colombia, the World Bank, USAID and the private sector actors such as BHP Billiton Sustainable Communities. Ms. Chao holds an M.A. in international development studies from the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University and a B.A. in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in Spanish and has knowledge of Portuguese.
