Cindy Eggleton is the Co-Founder and CEO of Brilliant Detroit, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building kid success families and neighborhoods where children from birth to eight years old have what they need to be school ready, healthy and stable. They do this by establishing and operating homes in high need neighborhoods that offer proven programming to children and families. She leads on strategy, organization partnerships, and fundraising, helping to bring the organization to serve over 4,000 individuals out of seven locations with 80 partners in just three years. Cindy previously served as Senior Director of Community Impact at United Way of Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM). At UWSEM , she moved from a consultant to leading the education efforts and oversaw a 60 million education portfolio. In this position, she worked on improving high school graduation rates, foreclosure prevention and was responsible for bringing the Social Innovation Fund for early childhood to Detroit. Cindy has been recognized for her leadership multiple times including most recently as one of Crain's Detroit Business' Notable Women in Nonprofits. She earned her Master's in Psychology from Wayne State University and ran a strategy and communications company for 21 years.
